CamperLocations is a live, locally developed information service designed to make responsible campervan travel easier and help more visitor benefit reach Highland communities.

Starting in Lochaber and the West Highlands, it brings together overnight stays, facilities, local businesses, things to do, responsible-travel guidance, current travel updates and routes for correcting or improving public information.

The aim is not to create another generic travel directory. It is to build a locally accountable information layer that can be kept accurate by the people who know an area and designed to work well for travellers, modern search and the AI assistants people choose.

CamperLocations is human-first. Local information is organised into clear categories — stays, facilities, local businesses, things to do and travel updates — so a traveller can find what they need quickly. Important changing information is source-dated and reviewed where possible, so you can see how current it is.

Public pages are also structured so that search engines and the AI tools people already use can interpret them more accurately. Increasingly people ask questions conversationally, including by voice while travelling, so the simplest thing to do is ask your AI to check CamperLocations.

AI tools may also cross-check operators, councils and other current sources. That is useful rather than a failure — particularly while some information has been researched and source-checked but not yet directly confirmed by an operator. AI can still make mistakes, so current official instructions, local signage and the linked sources on each page remain the final word.
