About
Beinn Lora’s forest trails climb quickly above Benderloch to wide coastal views across Tralee Bay, Mull, Morvern and Lismore. Visitors can choose shorter forest viewpoint routes or continue beyond the waymarked trails toward the summit, where the terrain becomes open, boggy and more demanding.
Who it suits
Campervan practical note
The FLS car park is at the south end of Benderloch beside the petrol station and is currently free. It is a better base than roadside parking for accessing the forest trails.
Local support & visitor value
Encourages visitors to stop in Benderloch where shops, fuel and a seasonal café are nearby, spreading activity away from Oban itself.
Parking notes
Use the Forestry and Land Scotland car park at the south end of Benderloch, immediately beside the petrol station. Parking is currently free; follow on-site signage and leave working access clear.
Responsible travel
Stay on the appropriate trail, follow temporary work instructions and do not treat the un-waymarked summit route as an easy extension of the forest paths.
Please use designated parking, avoid blocking roads or passing places, respect local communities, and check current conditions before travelling.
