About
Glen Nant protects one of Argyll’s rich Atlantic oakwood and hazelwood rainforests, with rare lichens, mosses and abundant woodland wildlife. The easy Riverbank Trail gives a short accessible introduction, while the Coalers Trail climbs through old and regenerating woodland with interpretation about charcoal making and iron smelting.

The FLS car park is on the B845 about three miles south of Taynuilt and is currently free. The postcode covers a wide area, so use the mapped car park rather than relying only on postcode navigation.

Parking notes
Use the Forestry and Land Scotland car park on the west side of the B845, roughly three miles south of Taynuilt. Parking is currently free. The nearest postcode covers a broad rural area, so use the map point.
Responsible travel
Stay on paths through sensitive woodland, keep dogs under control, check for ticks after walking and take extra care around burns and open water.
