Ardnamurchan Lighthouse

About

Standing on the wild Point of Ardnamurchan, this granite lighthouse marks the most westerly point of mainland Britain. Climb the tower for sweeping views to the Small Isles, explore the heritage exhibition, and watch for whales and dolphins offshore.

Parking notes

The approach is a long, scenic single-track road with passing places — slow going for larger vans but rewarding. There is parking at the lighthouse.

Responsible travel

On single-track roads, use passing places to let others overtake and never park in them. Allow plenty of time for the journey.

Please use designated parking, avoid blocking roads or passing places, respect local communities, and check current conditions before travelling.
